The house is a collection of three buildings that work well to offer many spaces to be together and have retreat and privacy. This is an ideal place for multi-generations or three families to holiday together with parents and children in each of the three buildings: The New Building, the Barn and the Cottage.
The biggest room in the house is the Party Room in the New Building which is great for dancing (speakers in the ceiling) and can also be cleared of all furniture for Yoga Retreats with space for 12+ mats
Relaxing: There are seven reception rooms: a large lounge in the Barn with wide screen TV & DVD with cinema sound system; the Party Room, a 2nd huge lounge (used for Yoga retreats & presentations) has the best views; a second storey Panorama lounge area for breathtaking views of the valley; the Tea Parlour with comfy sofa and a cupboard full of vintage china; a cosy library area attached to the Dining Room, well-stocked with interesting material; a beautiful conservatory built out into the woodland with great views; and a smaller conservatory space in the Barn TV Lounge leading onto the top terrace. So many spaces to come together in community or slip away and have quiet retreat time. Plus a log fire in the kitchen with farmhouse dining table – another great place for a cup of tea.
Sleeping: There are six formal bedrooms which sleep 14 people (2 double beds, 2 twins, two King size beds with extra single beds for family use). The Panorama lounge has a sofa bed. Each bedroom has its own character. There are 2 bathrooms, 4 shower rooms and a laundry with an extra WC in.
Meals: Enjoy the use of a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook and socialise … we’ve managed to cook for 30 people in there many times. There’s space for some of your party to eat in the kitchen near the log fire the main Dining Room is next door to the kitchen. separate family dining room. When the weather is good, enjoy the panoramic Dales view and eat outside on the terrace or on the lawn. 5-burner gas hob, electric oven, plenty of kitchen cupboard storage space and two fridges as well as a small freezer.
