The Healthy Home is a beautiful haven for family gatherings, peace-seekers, writers, walkers, cyclists & for Retreats. Offering breathtaking views, with cosy spaces, private sheltered terraces. Now with six bedrooms and six bathrooms, it can accommodate 14 people in eleven beds. In addition, the house is extremely large with six lounges and spaces to gather and relax.

A naturally decorated calm, quiet haven
This house has been the inspiration for Gina Lazenby’s best-selling book “The Healthy Home” (published by Conran in 2000) and is a wonderful experiment in how to create a modern interior with the minimum of chemicals and hardly any disturbance from electro-magnetic fields (EMFs).  During the renovation and building process, wherever possible, natural materials without petrochemicals have been used.

Perfect for Retreats – both personal holidays and business
Nearly 20 years after the Healthy Home was created and inspired a book of the same name, and during which time it has been a family home and retreat space that has welcomed friends, family and retreat-seekers from all over the world, this haven is now available to be shared by other groups seeking to meet, gather or holiday in a special, sacred space. The house now has 6 guest bedrooms (2 doubles, 2 twins, 2 rooms with King size beds and extra single beds to make family rooms) and 6 bath/shower rooms and 6 lounges/reception rooms in addition to the kitchen with log fire.

Since Gina Lazenby’s Healthy Home book was published in 2000, several TV companies have been to film.

• Channel 4 News produced a news item on stress and lifestyle change interviewing Gina here and talking about changes she had made by moving out of the city to the countryside.
• BBC Insight presented a documentary filming at the house, interviewing her about healthy living and also filmed her giving two Yorkshire homeowners a healthy home makeover.
• Yorkshire TV Calendar News did a live news broadcast from the house via their satellite vehicles
• Previously Gina Lazenby’s other TV appearances have included being featured on BBC 2 Newsnight interviewed by Kirsty Wark about lifestyle change and BBC 2’s The Money Programme talking about the role of feng shui and balancing environments in office spaces.
